Seealmstüberl
About This Spot
Nestled just a short stroll from the parking lot, Seealmstüberl quietly invites you into a warm, rustic retreat where the rhythm slows down and every visitor feels like part of a close-knit family. The soft murmur of friendly conversation, the gentle creak of wooden beams, and the comfort of familiar faces set the tone for an experience that’s both genuine and unpretentious.
As you settle under the cozy roof, the mood carries a relaxed, welcoming ease—a place where time seems to stretch, allowing you to savor moments as much as the food. There’s a tangible sense of tradition woven into the atmosphere, where the kitchen crafts thoughtfully prepared dishes that mirror the heart of Austrian country cooking, often spiced with unexpected, international touches.
Whether it’s the satisfaction of a perfectly cooked schnitzel, the comforting warmth of hearty goulash, or the sweet indulgence of a molten chocolate brownie, each plate offers more than flavor; it carries a story. Some dishes celebrate the freshness of the nearby pond’s catch, where guests even have the unique chance to choose their fish before it’s cooked. Others pair effortlessly with a crisp Radler or a local wine, reflecting the simplicity and richness of the region’s culinary heritage.
While the bustle of day visitors and families creates a lively undercurrent, the attentive, familiar staff ensure that the space remains intimate and inviting—like stepping into a family kitchen where stories and laughter are shared freely. The view from Seealmstüberl, framed by the serene landscape surrounding Lampersbach, only deepens the feeling of peaceful escape.
Visiting here feels like discovering a quiet local treasure where every meal nourishes more than just the body—it’s a moment to connect, unwind, and truly pause amidst the scenic beauty of the Austrian countryside.

Delicious food, friendly staff, looks like family business, that always gives the feeling of cosiness. To reach the place there is a short walk from parking lot, however it is worth it. One minus, one of the staff members had privat conversation on the phone, that was a bit akward and reduced the overall ambiance of the place.

Amazing place! Very popular due to their fish-they catch a dich in a pond and if you approve he fish, they will cook for you! Everything was tasty. Big soup portions. We were so so full. Prices average for this region and Austria overall. For two persons we spend around 60 eur ( 2 beers, two soup portions, fish, and nockerl). Just young lade spoke English. If you come during the day then there is another pond for relaxation and kids near by (for extra money).

Very very good dishes, and well presented. Totally worth the price (which is reasonable anyway), plus we were threated very kindly even though we barely speak any german. I highly recommend, worth a detour if you happen to be in the area !

I came to this beautiful restaurant on the banks of a small lake in the village of Werfenweng run by a Bosnian Muslim family and there is a very nice and friendly staff, here are sitting outside and inside the restaurant and the air is fresh, also the restaurant overlooks the Alps, I ordered several dishes (grilled fish - chicken fillet - steak meat Beef - grilled chicken pieces) The food was very delicious and I recommend visiting it
